Self-caricature on Post-It

August 21, 2010. I think I had just joined my first Webcomics Creators meetup, and felt a little self-conscious at having no work to show to the people I hoped to have as peers.

This instantly-recognizable cartoon convinced me that there was still hope of getting into comics after taking such a long detour.
